Vision 2020 is a small think tank based in Brussels and was founded by Marc Luyckx. Marc was head of the Forward Studies Unit of the European Commission for ten years and is a noted futurist. Sveiby Knowledge Management A consultancy network centered on the knowledge management and intangibles approaches of Karl-Erik Sveiby. Karl-Erik is one of the true founders of both the knowledge management and intellectual capital fields. He was writing and publishing on these topics for at least ten years before the concepts became mainstreamed in business and management. Based in Brisbane, Australia, and Helsinki, Finland, Karl-Erik is globally recognized as one of the top people in the field. He is a long-time associate and colleague of Verna Allee. The World Café One of the most popular tools in KM circles is what people often refer to as a “Knowledge Café.” This is a simple facilitated process for knowledge sharing and creation that can involve from twenty to a thousand people. This method emerged in a gathering of thought leaders in KM and intellectual capital hosted by my friends and colleagues, Juanita Brown and David Isaacs.
